On December 1, 2010, at 6:00 pm, Father David-Maria Jaeger, O.F.M., Pontifical University, Rome, spoke on "The Dialogue with the Jewish People: Dialogue at 360 Degrees." Father Jaeger will call for a major broadening of the Catholic approach to the dialogue with the Jews, a re-conceiving of the dialogue as being, not simply with one or more Jewish religious denominations, but with the many-sided reality of the Jewish People as a whole, religious and secular, in Israel and in the Diaspora. In aiming for this dialogue "in the round," Catholics are called to engage all who together make up and publicly express the living reality of the Jewish People today: ministers of religion, yes, but also writers, poets, painters, actors, philosophers, statesmen, dancers, educators, jurists, business leaders, conservationists, and many more.
