Assaf Patir is an assistant professor at the Department of Economics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He holds a PhD in economics from Northwestern University (2013) and a PhD in physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science (2007). Patir's research focus is macroeconomics and banking, and he has also written on Israeli-Palestinian trade and labor flows as part of the Aix Group (www.aixgroup.org).
